How to create a venue link

In your Mixily account, you'll customize your venue, then follow the steps to embed it on your website. In your website editor is where you will create a link to your venue.

First, create a Virtual Venue in Mixily.

If you do not have a website, you always have the option to host your Virtual Venue on Mixily.com by following these instructions.

After you customize your venue, follow the install instructions. Paste the auto generated code on your website following the instructions for your website type (HTML, Squarespace or Wix).

Copy the code, go to your website, create a new page and paste in the code block. On your website is where you will customize the URL.

Here's an example in Squarespace. When you make a new page, you'll edit the page title and the URL slug. Say your website is blog.mixily.com if you make the URL slug /clubhouse, that will mean the link to your new page is blog.mixily.com/clubhouse. Once you paste in your Virtual Venue code on your website, this is the link to your venue! Instead of sharing a generic Zoom link, you'll share this personalized link with your community.

For security purposes, do not link this new page in your Main Navigation, it would go under Not Linked. Think of it as a secret URL, if someone comes to your website, they wouldn't be able to find this link. Only people who you share the link with would be able to join.

For additional security you can create a password on the page using Squarespace or Wix in the page settings. Or if you use a membership software like Mighty Networks or Memberspace, you can put the Virtual Venue page on a member only section of you website.

In between events you can close your venue by following these steps.
