How would an evening of live improvised piano musical performance with slow restorative yoga and a guided sleep meditation feel for your body without having to leave the comforts of your own home?
There is only one way to find out... take time for your self-care and allow yourself to de-stress and find peace within.
In this experience, we will be accompanied by Chris Noble's live improvised therapeutic music to take you on a journey of healing and expansion. You will then be guided by Dr. Diana Liu on a 60 min Yin Yoga flow followed by a blissful 20 min Yoga Nidra guided sleep meditation.
Chris Noble is a multi-instrumental musician & sound healer, with piano and voice as his main expressions, and a wide range of styles ranging from meditative classical soundscapes to cinematic electronic dance music. He blends his love of sound therapy, which includes the use of binaural beats, solfeggio therapeutic frequencies, 432 hz tuning, live piano, cinematic soundscapes, and nature sounds into his musical compositions and performances that take the listener on an inward journey of healing and expansion.
Dr. Diana Liu is a general dentist with a focus on dental sleep medicine on the Sunshine Coast, British Columbia. In her life journey, she experienced chronic anxiety, insomnia, and burnout. Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra Meditation, and optimizing Sleep have played pivotal roles in her personal healing. This led her to become a Certified Yoga and Meditation Teacher as well as a Sleep and Health Coach to share and support professionals in their healing through classes, retreats, coaching, and programs to restore health, balance, peace, and longevity.
Yin Yoga is a style of yoga that is much slower with each yoga posture being held for longer (roughly 1-3 minutes) to promote release of tension in the connective tissues (e.g. tendons, fascia, ligaments) as well as improve flexibility, increase circulation of joints, and release mental and emotional stress. This is open to all levels including beginners. Accessible variations of yoga postures will be provided.
Yoga Nidra, also known as transformative sleep, is an ancient sleep based meditation (2000 years old) that takes advantage of the body's natural way to quiet our thoughts and relax our body - Sleep. This style of meditation takes the mind body towards sleep, where the mind quiets, the thoughts drop, and the body enters into deep relaxation. This is the opportunity for the body to recharge, heal, regenerate, and transform. Research has shown that yoga nidra meditation helps reduce insomnia, heal unprocessed emotional pain and trauma, increase self-awareness, increase peace and joy, overcome addictions, and reduce stress and anxiety, as well as helps us cultivate a deep sense of Self Love.
